Everybody Eats began as a pop-up in 2017, powered by volunteers and the generosity of the hospitality industry. From the very beginning, celebrated chefs across Aotearoa lent their time and talent to cook alongside our volunteers—helping us raise awareness of food waste, food insecurity, and the power of community. Their support played a crucial role in shining a light on our kaupapa and continues to today. We're incredibly proud to work with these chefs, who regularly step into our kitchens, share their skills, and give back in a deeply meaningful way.
Joel Williams is the regional Kai Champion for the Salvation Army - helping food security initiatives across TSA's 16 centres in Tāmaki Makaurau. A chef of over 20 years experience he has a passion for and a deep knowledge of food.
"We've been donating food to Everybody Eats for a while now and I've been really keen to jump in the kitchen and make some amazing food for the community."
